Visit the deal page on a desktop browser. Also do store pick up if possible to get the phone unlocked right away otherwise you might have to wait for 35 days for unlock.
You can select new customer and pay in full to get the $480 price. You can then select simplicity plan. Once you get the phone you can just cancel the line. Verizon unlocking policy states the devices are unlocked immediately if you pay in full. Their cancellation policy states no activation fee within 3 days and then only prorated charges if you cancel your line within 30 days.
***You might have to wait for 35 days before the phone is unlocked if you don't do store pickup in person as Verizon considers their online store purchase with delivery not secure. You can cancel your line nonetheless as the device will still unlock automatically after 35 days****

See this thread for more details on Verizon line activation and cancellation. Make sure to open a regular account with Verizon first with email address and passwd. Then add the new line in that account. That allows you to track the cancellation and bill through that account even after the line is removed.

This is a steeply discounted Pixel 11 Pro deal through Verizon, but the real appeal is the upfront price cut and the chance to cancel after activation. The strongest reports say store pickup tends to unlock the phone right away, while shipped orders are more likely to trigger a 35 day wait or a manual unlock request. The main catches are Verizon bootloader locking, possible full month billing or prorated charge cleanup after cancellation, and some uncertainty around cashback timing. A good fit if you want the phone and can handle Verizon's extra steps.
Common Questions (5)
Google Fi eSIM often works and is commonly used to confirm the phone is unlocked. Mint can be trickier because some users hit a Verizon contact error during eSIM transfer even when the phone is unlocked, so Fi is the better test.
It can unlock right away after activation, especially with store pickup, but some shipped orders show locked at first and unlock later. The practical check is to activate the phone, then test with a non-Verizon eSIM or SIM; if Google Fi works, the phone is unlocked.
Yes, the line can be canceled right away after activation and unlock verification, and several cancellations were completed the same day. Verizon may still send a full-month bill first, but it can often be adjusted to prorated charges through chat or a follow-up call.
No. Verizon Pixels are bootloader locked, so OEM unlocking stays grayed out and custom ROM flashing is blocked even if the phone is carrier-unlocked.
The most reliable check is to try another carrier's eSIM or SIM, such as a free Google Fi trial. Verizon's unlock status page and the list of available networks can be misleading, so a successful non-Verizon eSIM install is the clearest proof.

Attempt to add Eskimo eSIM clearly mentioned device locked !
So I can't cancel the line until to see device unlock approval,
I know in Walmart deal, we need to taxes on phone full price + Walmart e-gift coupon thing.
Just want to check your thoughts on this.
If we need to contact Verizon and wait days for unlock like some other guy here mentioned then we can't cancel immediately now no? :/

I'm going to use it with google fi so it's not a blocker, but I'd obviously want to know I'd be able to change to any eSIM using the normal way
Will try and reach out to support tomorrow and see what they say, I need to contact them to cancel the plan anyway.

Apparently it's a known issue and you have to scan the qr code via the camera app or the carrier has to support esim discovery process
Clicking Add Sim -> Setup an ESIM -> shows Contact Verizon message -> same screen with error you can click either Done or Use a different sim -> scan QR code for Eskimo, it detects that it's an Eskimo sim (says 1 Eskimo eSIM is available for this device) -> clicking set up (failed)
*update, literally when I was typing the steps, the last step actually didn't fail and I now see it added
