Community Reviews

This Verizon Pixel 11 Pro deal is mainly about getting a heavily discounted flagship and then verifying carrier unlock after activation. The strongest upside is the low out of pocket price, with store pickup and immediate activation often leading to an unlocked phone that works with Google Fi, Mint, T Mobile, or other eSIMs. The main catch is Verizon's confusing unlock behavior, since some units stay locked for hours or days and the bootloader remains permanently locked. Cancellation usually needs chat or phone support, and full month bills or prorated charge adjustments can take follow up.

Hi.Sorry,how this works?
I picked up the phone at the store; can I cancel the line without activating the phone? I assume the SIM card - an eSIM - is built into it.

I'm so sorry everybody. I was looking at a different setting. My phone is unlocked. I was looking at develop options wrong. If I go to add Sim. My mint mobile does show up. Now it's just a matter of canceling the line. Has anybody had any trouble canceling the line.
You can chat with them to cancel, mention bad service etc. Be polite but firm to disconnect the line right away instead of end of the billing cycle that the CS are trained to do.

You have to check if the phone is unlocked or not. You can put your own non Verizon SIM or download a Google Fi trial SIM for free and check. After making sure it's unlocked you can cancel the line making sure it's discontinued immediately.

edit: if it does not work with the other SIM, you will need to activate the phone on Verizon first and then check again.

If I had a nickel for every time that effing CB didn't track via c1, I'd be a millionaire. I swear to god they make it half-broken on purpose and hope people don't follow up on it. Infuriating...
It's adblockers, and possibly other extensions, that cause it to not track. This is CB 101 regardless of the provider.

Create a new profile in your browser, the only extension installed should be the CB extension. Use that profile when making a purchase.

I have 3 profiles for this, one for C1, another for rack, and one for Delta (but delta is by far the worst, can't remember the last time I used it).

Well I dont think I can switch to a port, if I already have their given number. I was planning to cancel right away before but now I dont want to lose the cashback potentially if I cancel...
My CB posts on 12/2. My vzw bill posts on 11/3 & 12/3. I'm going to pay the 2 months to guarantee I get the CB, canceling as soon as it posts the day before the next billing cycle starts.

Spend $90 to get a guaranteed $420 is a no-brainer, and they have Lowe's GCs which is basically a cash equivalent to me during my remodel.

For those of you saying put in other sim card you do know those phones don't take a sim card. The Google Pixel 11 Pro features a physical SIM card slot only on models sold outside the United States, while U.S. models rely exclusively on eSIMard

Only for Android phones. Apple tightly controls their pricing across carriers unlike Android OEMs

If Fi is activated and you can make calls etc then it's unlocked for sure as Fi runs on T-mobile

You don't have to activate on Verizon if the phone is already unlocked. I don't know if you can say about bad service with a straight face but I don't think they go and check in your account for a device

Seems like the safest option. I can test if I get better signals around here using verizon vs tmobile/mint.

Here is how my day went. Picked up phone at 3pm. Activated the line and switched over all my apps took a little bit. Didn't think my phone was unlocked cause the OEM under
Developer Options it was grey out. So I freaked out for about an hour or two thinking how was I going to get around this. Than I found out that only meant you can't really put on a different operating system. Than everyone kept tell me to put in a sim card from my mint mobile. THESE PHONES DO NOT TAKE PHYSICAL SIM CARDS. Anyone commenting must not be from the US cause the US phones DO NOT TAKE A PHYSICAL SIM CARD. I then went to my account and my account said it was unlocked. I than went into setting and searched for other towers and they all showed up so at that point probably around 6 pm I realized I was unlocked. Around 9 pm so 7 hours of having the phone and making 2 calls and 3 text and watched a little youtube tv. I got onto chat and was really nice to the person and had them cancel the line. I told them the people at work said verzion didn't work out there and I didn't believe the people I worked with but yeah it didn't work. So he cancelled the line right away and said there be no bill even though there kind of is one he said don't worry it will come off or something too that affect.

Once that was done I had a sim card in my pixel 7a from mint. I went to the google pixel 11 pro and selected add Esim. I had it serach the network. It found the mint mobile and transfered it over to the pixel 11 pro as an esim since THESE PHONES DON'T TAKE SIM CARDS. Anyway got that done and mint has worked fine and the last 2 hours been working on logging into every app cause nothing is really saved.

Now my mint expires in 15 days and Specturm is offering me a free year since they took over cox so now i have to figure out how to port my number from mint too spectrum on the same phone.

By putting your mint SIM they meant transferring the eSIM. And yeah OEM unlocking under developer option means bootloader locked which for Verizon phones will forever be the case even if the phone is unlocked.
