Community Reviews

This Verizon Pixel 11 Pro deal is mainly about getting a heavily discounted flagship and then verifying carrier unlock after activation. The strongest upside is the low out of pocket price, with store pickup and immediate activation often leading to an unlocked phone that works with Google Fi, Mint, T Mobile, or other eSIMs. The main catch is Verizon's confusing unlock behavior, since some units stay locked for hours or days and the bootloader remains permanently locked. Cancellation usually needs chat or phone support, and full month bills or prorated charge adjustments can take follow up.

I did this on Sunday: new account, new line, paid in full, ordered for in-store pick-up. Unlocked out of the box, didn't even bother activating it on Verizon just immediately added via eSim on my T-Mobile line.

Cancelled the account today without much issue under buyer remorse, owing nothing.

What makes it especially slick: I had a $200 Verizon gift card from when I got FiOS, which I couldn't spend anywhere but Verizon. Brought the net price down to ~$330 after tax, lol.

I found this: https://issuetracker.google.com/i...2710?pli=1

Apparently it's a known issue and you have to scan the qr code via the camera app or the carrier has to support esim discovery process
That bug on a different pixel 8... if you know puters thats likely its own thing but.... if the OS is exsactly the same on all pixles which i would somewhat doubt ... idk

Damn.. wish this deal was available at launch for the Pixel 11 series. I paid around 460 for the Pixel 11 Pro 256gb after promo+gift cards+cash back+ plus trading my Pixel 7.
Also, not sure why people are bitching about locked bootloader? The clean Android os on this Pixel or any previous Pixel is so smooth and awesome. Plus you get security updates and annual updates first and directly from Google for 7 years! Not sure why people would chose another Android os over the clean Android intended for Pixel phones. I'm typing on the Pixel 11 Pro right now and I am loving this phone since I got it. The screen, the battery life, the smoothness of the is and that amazing camera system are my favorite pros for this phone. Don't think you will regret it if you get it unless you want to flex on hardware specs.
Dude you sound like your convincing yourself, its called privacy.... and if you dont know, you dont know... and you give everything. Google happens to be the single worst one when it comes to privacy. They litterally keep every fuquck letter you search, type, talk, text its all theirs.

Can't they use email?? You can activate the phone on Verizon, it's not a big deal, does not affect the cancellation of the line that you are doing here.

Received the Pixel 11 Pro today (shipped) and phone is locked. Chatted with the representative and they submitted a request to unlock and should be unlocked within 24-48 hours supposedly... Waiting time.

That's a problem with mint eSIM transfer or the way it's checking if the phone is unlocked. If the phone works on Fi it is unlocked. Both mint and Fi runs on the same T-Mobile network.

Has anyone had success with this deal and activating a Verizon-based MVNO eSIM? I've seen several reports of problems (US Mobile, Xfinity, etc)...

Yes, apparently Verizon hasn't unlocked it yet as when I try to set up a new sim it tells me to contact verizon.

When I try to set up a new sim it tells me to contact Verizon, so apparently something is up, Google Fi works but Google Fi downloads the esim and sets it up for you.

So Mint's system of esim transfer isn't too good.
