Visit the deal page on a desktop browser. Also do store pick up if possible to get the phone unlocked right away otherwise you might have to wait for 35 days for unlock.
You can select new customer and pay in full to get the $480 price. You can then select simplicity plan. Once you get the phone you can just cancel the line. Verizon unlocking policy states the devices are unlocked immediately if you pay in full. Their cancellation policy states no activation fee within 3 days and then only prorated charges if you cancel your line within 30 days.
***You might have to wait for 35 days before the phone is unlocked if you don't do store pickup in person as Verizon considers their online store purchase with delivery not secure. You can cancel your line nonetheless as the device will still unlock automatically after 35 days****

See this thread for more details on Verizon line activation and cancellation. Make sure to open a regular account with Verizon first with email address and passwd. Then add the new line in that account. That allows you to track the cancellation and bill through that account even after the line is removed.

Community Reviews
This is a steeply discounted Pixel 11 Pro deal through Verizon, but the real appeal is the upfront price cut and the chance to cancel after activation. The strongest reports say store pickup tends to unlock the phone right away, while shipped orders are more likely to trigger a 35 day wait or a manual unlock request. The main catches are Verizon bootloader locking, possible full month billing or prorated charge cleanup after cancellation, and some uncertainty around cashback timing. A good fit if you want the phone and can handle Verizon's extra steps.

And this shouldn't affect cashback, right? Since I still have the line active.
Timeline:
10/7 around 7:30pm PST - reached out via chat, requesting unlock, rep told me it should take 24-48 hours.
10/9 around 9:30am PST - text message shows they've submitted a ticket to the support team on my behalf.
10/12 around 7:30am PST - still haven't heard back from them.

Called back to check status 6th 7th 8th. Finally cancelled without unlock on 9th.
Horrible experience. One time one rap told it's unlocked and to try after factory reset and she would follow up on Saturday 10th as she was off in next few minutes and out of office for next two days.
Such a waste of time. Will just wait 35 days

They won't unlock. Two tickets that were raised for my device were closed with the note 'cannot be unlocked as per policy' as per customer care reps.

Yep. that's what I am going to do. If they still don't unlock even after 35 days, I plan to sell it as-is (locked to Verizon).
