This current COSCO version is definetely beefier at the handles (they added a bar coming across both handles) and lip, but we will see if it stands the test of time. The price for sure has gone up, but this newest version is better than what they had basically from 2019-2025.
There is also a fully metal one I believe at sams club that is around this same price. We just bought one of those recently and it is a solid unit.
Community Reviews
COSCOs 5 in 1 convertible hand truck is built for moving Costco hauls and other heavy loads, with a 3 position extendable handle, flat free wheels, and a folding toe plate that stores compactly. The current version is described as beefier at the handles and lip than earlier COSCO models, and it is praised as a solid, versatile cart for warehouse style use. The main knocks are price, since it has been seen lower in store and even around $120 earlier, and it still lacks brakes. A sturdy utility cart if you can live with the higher current price.
Common Questions (5)
The 5-in-1 version is a different model from the older 3-in-1 dolly that sold for about $99-$100. This newer model adds a 3-position extendable handle and is described as beefier at the handles and lip, but it has also been seen at a lower in-store price around $120.
It can still be worth it if you want the convenience of free shipping or do not want to go in person, but the in-store price is $119.99 and it reportedly dropped to about $120 in July. That makes $149.99 less compelling if you can wait for a lower warehouse price.
No brakes are mentioned for this model, and that is the main feature gap called out. It is otherwise described as very useful for hauling Costco loads and heavy stacks.
The current version is described as beefier at the handles and lip than earlier COSCO versions, which had weak wheels or broke at the handles and lip. A long-term warehouse user says the newer build is better than the 2019-2025 version, though long-term durability is still being watched.
It is rated for 800 lb in upright and assist mode and up to 1000 lb in cart and platform modes. The aluminum frame and flat-free wheels are meant for heavy-duty hauling without needing air-ups.
