Okay it's just a normal commercial doughnut, nothing special, but then they hipster it. Don't overthink it, same doughnut as anywhere but it looks cooler.

Fan of the shop, did an article about them many years ago. They will only open around "legalized pot" areas, so that's why they may not be popping up in other locations. Portland first (2x West / East), then Eugene, then Colorado, etc. Shout out to "Cat Daddy" Pogson and "Tres" Shannon III, owners and founders of Voodoo.

They may be loosening the rules a little, as TX and TN are definitely not "legalized pot areas"

They're good donuts, way better than the big national brands but if you know where to look in your city there's probably better donuts. Where they excel is in what they put on them and the variety. For example, I absolutely love the Grape Ape donut with grape tang mix on top. Understandably a lot of people don't but they have a lot of other interesting flavors.
