Community Reviews
EyeBuyDirect is a budget source for prescription glasses and sunglasses that can deliver solid value, especially for backups or low stakes wear. The frames are often described as light, with spring hinge and titanium options, and the company has replaced scratched frames and accepted EyeMed insurance. Delivery is usually around 10 to 14 days, and long term wearers report years of use without complaints. The main cautions are flimsy build, sizing and bridge fit issues, and occasional lens problems such as blur, crazing, or progressive alignment trouble, so careful measurements matter.
People needing inexpensive backup glasses, because the frames are good enough for casual wear and losing or breaking them is less stressful.
Single-vision prescription wearers wanting a low-cost everyday pair, because the lenses can be good quality and spring-hinge options are available.
People replacing glasses after years of wear, because the lenses can resist scratching and the frames can hold up for a long time.
Wearers who already know their frame measurements, because ordering the right size and bridge fit helps them fit and work well.
People who need precise progressive-lens alignment, because the progressive segment can miss the eye position and leave distance or near vision blurry.
Wearers who want a primary daily pair with premium durability, because the frames can feel flimsy and the fit, finish, and optics are not first rate.
People with sensitive prescriptions that need exact pupillary distance or high-index handling, because the glasses can come out blurry or lose the expected savings.
Anyone relying on long-term lens clarity, because the coating can craze, flare badly at night, and turn cloudy after a couple of months.

For spares that are good but they are not good quality enough to be primary daily frames.
Also, sometimes they don't get the PD just right and it might be a little blurry.

Hated it. Too many times things got blurry because it's gradient from far sighted to near sighted.
Next set i got the grandpa look with bi-focals.
Much better.
clear threshold of where close up vision starts and ends
I have pretty much stopped relying on the Zennis and EBDs for my main glasses and just buy them for backups. Their fit, finish and durability just don't compare to some premium brands. Your upside is most definitely the cost for basic glasses and that's about it.
So the quality is acceptable, but they are definitely not "first rate" the size of the lens and frame is smaller than you'd expect (which saves money for them)
Also the two I ordered had some small unusual quirks in design
If I was on an extreme budget and needed prescription glass they would definitely be on my list though.
