It's a 17" laptop. My wife's 2024. 17" gram is right at 3lb, making this all of 6oz heavier. Probably due to the touchscreen.

Yeah IDK what changed. The integrated GPU 17" model used to be 2.9lb. Is the touchscreen upgrade .40lb of material? They gave so many different models but I think there is a 17" version still at 3.01lb...

no, touchscreen does not add over 100g of weight

The only thing that can explain the weight increase is a sturdier, more rigid chassis. On a 17" laptop that's pretty important. 3.4 lb is still pretty light for this size.
