I have the first gen and plenty of batteries.. I have two kitty litter buckets of batteries so the inverter came in handy in PNW windstorm yesterday.. Power was out for five hours and one of my power stations battery was low so glad I have Ego ready to go.

It does not appear "hackable" the items are a unit in cart the battery doesn't seem returnable

Wow, I bought this with the 4aH battery for $218.78 during an amazon sale in June. I mainly bought it for the battery, haven't even used the inverter yet.

Wait I lied, when I checked out it charged me separately. $111 for the 400w, $247 for the battery
