I really like Ryobi and have over 25 of their power tools which all work great, but their bits are softer than average so the phillips bits start to deform and round fairly quickly even when applying straight hard pressure to keep the bit in the screw head. Project Farm tested all popular widely available bits a couple years ago and found Milwaukee bits were the best overall value because they were the hardest metal while also being very strong so they don't snap easily which means they are the most resistant to deformation and rounding so they last the longest, and they are also not as brittle so they won't snap easily like a lot of other similar brands. I used to use DeWalt bits for 15yrs and they are also a bit softer like Ryobi bits. When that Project Farm video came out I switched to Milwaukee bits and there is a huge difference in performance and lifespan with the Milwaukee bits lasting many times longer before needing to be replaced, and the bit geometry is also more precise so the bits fit and stay seated better which greatly reduces cam-out which in turn greatly reduces tip wear. The Milwaukee bits are about 2x the price of DeWalt bits or 3x the price of Ryobi bits per bit, but they last 10-15x longer from my experience over the last 2yrs so they are actually less expensive in the long run. I've only used Milwaukee bits for the last 2 years and I'll never use another brand of bits again unless I see proof there is a better performing brand than Milwaukee for a similar price.

A lot of company's bits suck and vary from pack to pack.
