I really don't know, but it might be cheaper on Prime Day. Usually electronics are the "focus" sales on Prime Day.

Fyi... I have been through 3 of these printers at my work. Its cheaper to buy the entire printer than replace drum/toner...

I go to amazon or ebay to buy toner. They go for about $15-20 but I haven't bought toner for a few years now.

My printers been giving replace drum unit error for a month. It's annoying. And I'm about to replace it.

I'd avoid a brother printer. Nothing but bad experiences with that brand.

As noted in previous posts, best to buy refurbished direct from Brother to ensure the drum is new. Seems like good advice.

I recently bought a refurbished MFC-L2807DW from Brother (not currently on sale) and have two comments and cautions:

1) Brother printer software does not support ARM processors. You may be able to print but not have all the tools and utilities.
2) Brother printers do not support 'scan to usb flash drives' except on higher end models.

No support for direct scan to usb was a total surprise to me. It's a basic feature on ever AIO printer I have owned, including the most basic models from HP and Epson. If this feature is important to you, expect to pay a lot more on a higher end Brother printer.

I bought this July 2024 for $200. Currently sells for $210 and I imagine this product is subject to tariffs, so between that and inflation, I wouldn't expect a price drop or sale any time soon.

Still, they might go on sale for October's Prime Day and/or Black Friday. I'd say BF is a better bet, since Prime Day seems to focus more on Amazon's own electronics.

Amazon now has a price notification setting. If you click on price history on the item's page, it'll let you set up a notification for when it drops to or below the price you're willing to pay.

This is a surprise and thanks for pointing this out. I haven't been in the market buying too many printers in the last 10-15 years but everyone with a scanner can scan to usb drive.
