This Colgate toothpaste promo is strongest for shoppers whose Target prices line up with the posted math, especially when the listed items ring up at higher base prices. The deal can still work with pickup or shipping, and the extra gift card offers can stack for more savings. The main snag is that the calculation appears easy to misread, with the $5 promotional gift card getting counted twice in the post. Checkout also required a profile with both a first and last name, and one toothpaste formula was reported to cause sensitivity after a few months.

Common Questions (5)

  • The posted math appears to subtract the $5 promotional gift card twice. A more realistic total reported in checkout is about $10.54 after pickup on a $15.54 subtotal, with the $5 gift card still coming back separately.

    jrocks18mozmoz1mozmoz1Surfer5

  • Yes. Some Target accounts show higher base prices for the listed Colgate items, while changing zip code can surface lower prices. That can make the same deal look better or worse depending on location.

    bigfatsmirknaveednn

  • Yes, checkout may not complete until the Target profile has both a first and last name entered.

    clearwater81

  • It can. One checkout included shipping with other needed items and was expected to earn an additional $5 back from the spend-at-your-pace offer.

    Tarkov

  • It can. One report says using it for a few months made teeth sensitive, so it may not be ideal if you are prone to sensitivity.

It's possible that what you did wrong is live where Target decided to charge you more 😂. I didn't try this deal but I find that I get lower prices if I change my zip code.
That's definitely what it is. My base prices for all items are higher.

You need a spreadsheet and a minor in Target Circle studies to figure out the real total in this thread. Everybody's math comes out different and somehow everybody is still ahead. Toothpaste economics.

It didn't have the $2 coupon in my account. But found a 15% off coupon to use instead. Total came to $10.14 after tax. Thanks OP!
