These 4Ah DeWalt Powerpack batteries are positioned as a premium 20V MAX XR option with tabless cylindrical cells, aimed at stronger output and better durability than Powerstack pouch packs. The price is described as the lowest seen recently for this size, with $85 called especially strong value and the pack viewed as hard to find cheaper outside clearance. The main drawbacks are that the coupon does not work and the batteries are pricier per amp hour than regular DeWalt packs. A solid pick if you want DeWalt's newer high end battery format.
Buyers comparing premium 20V batteries by price per amp-hour, because this pack is described as unusually low-priced for its class and near clearance territory.
Tradespeople needing a durable 4Ah pack, because the tabless cylindrical cells are described as more durable and easier to service yourself.
Tool owners who want strong heavy-load output in a compact battery, because the Powerpack design is said to outperform under load while staying smaller than larger-capacity packs.
Buyers who specifically want Powerstack pouch-cell batteries, because these are Powerpack batteries instead.
Shoppers expecting the coupon to reduce the price further, because the coupon code does not work.
Users who need the longest runtime from a single charge, because 6Ah and 8Ah batteries are said to run much longer than this 4Ah pack.

I don't care what type of tech it is either! If you feel good that you got scammed.... so be it!

I personally prefer these 4Ah Powerpacks over everything else I have.

4ah Powerpacks use the tabless 21700 cells with 1 row of 5 for a total of 5.
While a standard/xr/max 6ah battery uses 21700 cells, but 2 rows of 5 for a total of 10.
Powerpack will output a bit better under heavy loads, but a standard 6ah or 8ah battery will do the same and the 6ah run way longer than the 4ah Powepack.
The two 8ah comparison ??? both use 21700 cells, same capacity, same runtime basically.
I would say it comes down to price! lowest that I've seen is from a 2pk.
dcb208 - $84ea vs dcb2108 - $91ea
Would I bite on the 2108 for $91 ? Only if I had a need for it, or a near future need for it.
I still have brand new 6ah batteries with 6amp charger kits sitting in their boxes, just wasting away on their 3 year warranty, but the $65 deal was too much to resist.

Yes, powerpack batteries are more expensive. There's good reason for that. If you want to pay $10/ah, just buy the regular old 20V batteries and call it a day.
