I think this is the lowest price we've seen on the 4ah powerstacks in the latest tranche of sales. I doubt you'll find them lower unless on clearance. If you're lucky enough to be new to woot, $85 for these is incredible

I can't get more than $10/ah selling regular Dewalt batteries on FB marketplace, but I've never seen Powerstacks near this price point.

I almost bit on this until I realized that these are power pack batteries, not the "power stack" batteries. This is still a good deal but not a great deal.

Curious why you say that? The Powerpack's have the tabless cylindrical batteries and the Powerstack have the pouch batteries. The cylindrical are going to be more durable. Power output will be similar. Powerstack will have the edge on size and weight.

I personally prefer these 4Ah Powerpacks over everything else I have.

Agreed, and a PowerPACK battery is easier to service yourself if need be. I understand PowerSTACK batteries are the future, it's repairing them yourself the main issue for me. Hopefully as the generations progress in their tech, that will change.

I personally think the Powerstacks are a scam! Just another form factor for the worse to do the same as the tried and true 18650/21700 cells. Proven swelling issues on pouch batteries is not a good idea in any tool lineup, so why do it?It's just another DeWalt scam to fool the dumbasses.
4ah Powerpacks use the tabless 21700 cells with 1 row of 5 for a total of 5.
While a standard/xr/max 6ah battery uses 21700 cells, but 2 rows of 5 for a total of 10.
Powerpack will output a bit better under heavy loads, but a standard 6ah or 8ah battery will do the same and the 6ah run way longer than the 4ah Powepack.
The two 8ah comparison ??? both use 21700 cells, same capacity, same runtime basically.
I would say it comes down to price! lowest that I've seen is from a 2pk.
dcb208 - $84ea vs dcb2108 - $91ea
Would I bite on the 2108 for $91 ? Only if I had a need for it, or a near future need for it.
I still have brand new 6ah batteries with 6amp charger kits sitting in their boxes, just wasting away on their 3 year warranty, but the $65 deal was too much to resist.
