This digital 3 8 inch torque wrench stands out as a low cost way to get a bright screen and audible beep for common light to mid range jobs. The build and case are described as solid, and the wrench is said to match Harbor Freight click type readings in side by side use. The stated plus or minus 2 percent accuracy also lines up with standard expectations for this class. Caveats include skepticism about precision for critical work, a beep that can come on late, and occasional battery compartment issues. A budget friendly pick for DIY torque work when exact calibration is not the top priority.

  • The screen and audible beep can help indicate when the set torque is reached.

  • The digital torque wrench can provide a usable torque reading for weekend DIY work.

  • The wrench build and included case can feel solid for the price point.

  • The 3/8 and 1/2 Suzume digital torque wrenches can match Harbor Freight click-type torque readings for practical use.

  • The torque accuracy can be questionable for precision jobs that require reliable calibration.

  • The promo code can fail on the cheaper 3/8 listing that includes adapters.

  • The unit can arrive missing spring connectors needed to hold the AAA batteries securely.

  • The digital beep timing can be quick and may not start early or last long enough at certain angles.

I've been pleased with the Suzume products I have purchased recently:

Stubby Flex Wrench set (Metric) https://slickdeals.net/f/20061963-8-piece-suzume-stubby-flex-head-ratcheting-wrench-set-8-17mm-metri...

Regular Flex Head Ratcheting Wrench Set (Metric and SAE): https://slickdeals.net/f/20017854-24-piece-suzume-180-flex-head-72-tooth-ratcheting-wrench-set-w-org...

Extra Long Flex Ratcheting Wrench Set (Metric) https://slickdeals.net/f/19982064-6-pc-suzume-extra-long-flex-head-ratcheting-wrench-set-8-19mm-36-3...

The quality of these wrenches is very good. I had the opportunity to compare the extra longs with the equivalent workpro set, and they were identical. While they don't have some extra features such as locking heads and the ability to change ratcheting direction without flipping the wrench, for the money they are just fine for this weekend DIYer.

I used an extra long to help change a starter and had no issues.

At this price I didn't hesitate adding the digital torque.

Good deal. Weirdly the cheaper 3/8 model with the adapters is listed as cheaper, but the code doesn't work on it. It only works on the model the post is linked to. The SKMHX8VB promo code works for the 3/8 version with no adapters. I have only had manual torque wrenches before so this will be a nice upgrade with the screen going bright and hearing a beep when I hit the 30lb of torque my oil drain pan needs with its crush washer. Thanks OP.

Perfect. My manual torque wrench is WAY off calibration.

so is this..There's no QC with china , no R&D, no specs sheet..just lots of buzzwords and misinformation. If you need precise calibration this is not it, if you need to approximate the torque this is the cheapest alternative. My German cars, my expensive guns, my racing bicycles require something more precise than Shenzen quality

They state a ±2% accuracy which is pretty on par with industry standard for a 2-place torque wrench. I'm tempted to actually buy it and test it out. I've gotten harbor freight ones in the past and they're also pretty spot on.

If accuracy is actually as they state, then it's way more accurate than you need for your German cars 🤣

HF has US based HQ and they are liable for what they sell.. SUZME can change their name tomorrow and nobody will ever find them again. Plz get it , test it, and report back. I'm sure is not within specs. And I'm also sure even the off specs are going to get more off by each time you use it.
I got burned by China tools so many times ..

A quality 3/8 torque wrench goes to 125 ft lb. The amount it reaches is how you can tell that who made the wrench is actually a quality maker. Not that I would expect much from a $50 digital wrench. Almost want to buy it to see how crappy it is. I wouldn't trust it past 75 ft lb. on anything. We get all ours tested bi annually for the inspection sticker. Wonder if this would pass calibration and get a sticker.

This might be crap but if I'm getting a 3/8 torque wrench I don't need even near 100 ft lb of torque. I have a 1/2" for lug nuts that can do that range.

The cheapest digital 3/8 at Harbor Freight is $175 so I have some real doubts this one is worth owning. Plus it's a staff post.

I would definitely try this before getting a $200 yellowjacket torque wrench (which I was not impressed with)

Have this and the larger 1/2" Suzume torque wrench. Both are well made and when compared to my HF click types of the same sizes, these match the HF torque every time. While I don't have a true torque gauge to validate their accuracy claims, having it match my HF works for me.

I will add that I wish the digital beep started a bit earlier and lasted longer than it does...yes that's what she said. Depending on the angle you're at you go from no beep to at or over the torque setting beep pretty quickly. It's only happened a few times with the shorter 3/8 vs the 1/2 which you have more natural leverage to tighten with.

Great price for this. The case is nice and the build is good for this price point.

Google and watch on YouTube project farm digital torque wrench where testing shows this brand 1/2" version wrench is pretty bad - consistently at the bottom of the rating on different tests. I pass but really wanted to try.

Who use a 3/8" for torquing to 125ftlbs?

Good information. I'm impressed with suzume's tool feel with the 2 kits I own, but it seems Suercup has much better accuracy for the price if one is shopping for such a torque wrench.

I personally wouldn't mind getting a cheap wrench that misses by a few %, but it depends on what kind of work each person does. I wouldn't like to trust the results in this video from a suzume torque wrench on my motorcycle's suspension, which is a job that deserves better accuracy for a few more dollars.
