Can someone explain why people prefer a 49' monitor that is this wide with 5120x1440 resolution compared to say an already big 37' or 40' odyssey curved monitor that is 4k or 5k resolution? I only used a 32' samsung 4k uj59 flat panel and to me the screen is already huge... except the issue is because it's a flat monitor, you can't look at the corners that well because of how big the screen is. But a 32' 4k curved monitor would certainly seem to be better. It would seem a 40' odyssey curved monitor that has better resolution than this one would be btter?

Or compare it to say 2 monitors that is 32' 4k curved that is next to each other side to side? Who uses a monitor this wide?

With monitors that are this wide, how many full size chrome websites can you open where it's visible? It seems the other options I mentioned above seem better?

extreme wide view in games or simulators, borderless desktop or simulated multi monitor without dealing with extra cords and desk space for mounts. ect.

The price is now $549, and after applying the $50 upgrade credit, the total drops to $499. Seems like a great deal.
