Thanks for the warning. After reading both of your comments and the comments online, I'm passing. I almost bought it because my existing non-video keypad has issues where some buttons don't work in cold weather. I'll live with the existing keypad and its flaws for now.

Yeah, they make a kit for hardwiring. On sale for $45 right now with the doorbell, I would suggest that.

i turned off all the motion sensors to save battery. it extends the life of the battery. recommended to buy extra battery to continue operating the device while charging the dead battery.

I bought this a year ago. Battery lasts a month for me. Your results could vary but this has been a great purchase and I bought that one at $47. Going to replace the rest of my garage pads with these.

I have one. battery lasts about 3 months. I might hardwire it, but I would have to drill through brick. I don't have the subscription, so I don't retain video, but the live video works. I mainly got it for the keypad to open my garage since my basic door opener died. I'm mostly happy with it.

Sounded like the battery life made it awful. After resolving the battery life, how else makes it awful?

I own this. Battery lasts 2-3 months.

Bought an extra battery for $20 so swapping is never an issue. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F9L9N...e_0_0&th=1

Troll comment. It last 3-4 months on default. Much longer with motion detect off.
