I bought this last time it was on sale (feb 10) and it works well... but the filters don't seem to last. I am one person household with one dog and we don't use all that much water and the machine is already saying to change filter. Can it already be clogged?

I use it for myself and the filters are pretty close to 6 months. I drink lots of water.

This entirely depends on your waters starting TDS. If it's much over 100, especially over 200 than any filter isn't going to last very long. A $10 tds meter via amazon will tell you, alternatively if you are on one facebook and a part of your town/cities group, you could ask other residents - I would bet someone has tested it.
