I went to one of these about two months ago when they offered the kit for free. I was talking to the lady who normally handles the kit workshops and she said the turnout for the Mr. Beast kits (paid and free) has been really low which is why they're quietly making them all free.
These kits are geared to an older audience than the normal kids workshops. When putting ours together, it was very clear that the kids weren't very interested and it was just the parents building them. It's fun if you want something to do with your kids on the weekend but I'm pretty sure mine is going to spend all their time looking at the Halloween decorations while I'm stuck building the kit.
