I do hope manufacturers will still make other form factors like the Minisforum G1 Pro and not just concentrate on cubes like the Steam Machine. Also, something more discreet and less gamery looking.
Depends on what you need, power limit of this is probably higher than those small laptops. But laptops are portable and have newer CPUs.
Mind, it's hard to find 5060 laptops for under $1000 nowadays. If you find a 5060 for $1000-1100, that's already a decent deal.
