Regular price is over $1 per bar and that is buying 30 of them. It must be inflation, but $15 would be a good price.

I bought a box last year and had one single trick or treater. Obviously YMMV/LOCAL, but it seems with all the "trunk or treat" events way fewer kids are going door to door.

any parent that lets their kids do truck or treat has to have their parent card taken away. what a lame and stupid idea

We are that house that has full-size bars. The wife really enjoys when the little kids run to mom and dad saying "look at this big bar". We get 180-205 people that night and are known for having the full bars. Unfortunately due to my sweet tooth we need to wait until the week of to buy the bars. This Halloween being on a Saturday and we are just experiencing 80F weather (phoenix), I expect 250.

It is inflation. Chocolate prices have been very high for the last couple of years. Look at most of the prices for Halloween fun-sized bags. It is terrible. Even with "sales".
This is a very good discount if you feel generous enough to give out full-sized candy. Kids will be very appreciative. But we can't all splurge, and I get that. I feel cheap giving out one or two pieces of fun-size, so one of these, or a handful of those, is the way I look at it.

You will not find $0.50 per bar anywhere until maybe after Halloween, and for full-sized bars, probably not then either.

Or... hear me out... Trunk or treat is a way for a community to celebrate a fun holiday together that wouldn't typically get to celebrate due to proximity. My kids are in elementary school and they love hanging out with school friends in costume and getting candy. Nearly all of our kids' friends participate in our elementary trunk or treat.

We throw a driveway Halloween party each year so my kids only do traditional trick-or-treating around our block with some neighbors and friends. They enjoy getting two days out of their costume and holiday instead of one.

completely different scenario with you doing both. anyone doing only truck or treat in lieu of trick or treating, you should be ashamed

"Trunk-or-treat"
That's your opinion, but you don't say why. Are you saying too easy? I don't see a problem with it if your house won't get the traffic. Win, win.

We had around 350 kids last year, so looks like I'm in for at least 12 boxes

If I buy these now, no way they'll last till Halloween. My sweet tooth will not allow it
