I own this TV and it really is not bad for $300 (I also own an OLED set and a mini-LED set). Dark scenes will struggle a bit and the remote can be a bit laggy (even adjusting the volume has a noticeable lag), but the image quality is really impressive for the price. Color is accurate and brightness is adequate for moderately lit rooms. Dolby Vision content actually looks really good. Disable autoplay and limit yourself to using no more than 2 or 3 streaming apps and it'll run just fine.
