Very poor reviews
Most electric kettles have very poor reviews as they come with two types of heating bases. Doesnt matter if the kettle is $20 or $200, the heating element will eventually fail. Strix heating element is the best i forgot the other brand but even they have issues. Move to the $150-300 electric kettles used for pour over or fine teas and you will see besides fit and finish, timers, digital displays, speed of heating, spout/pour they are exactly the same. The biggest issue to look for is plastic on any interior surface and unfortunately every major electric kettle except 4-5 models across different vendors has some kind of plastic on the inside even if its a small circle or wedge. Imagine heating up water to hundreds of degrees farenheit and exposing that plastic to those same super hot water temps. Im either buying something cheap under $50 to use and toss out or if I am really using the kettle id go with this model with the warranty, it's the best ive used so far (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0G35RD..._h_pc&th=1) got it for around 210 with warranty).

All good points, but the reviews and score on this one are markedly low and many revolve around faulty software

Did you read what i typed out or just vomited whatever came to mind? When did i mention the reviews for this unit and its faulty software? I even recommended and linked my current unit and told you it's solid. Do you want to give me your address so i can pay for it, buy it for you, and ship it to you? If you want I can buy it and ship it to myself, test it, and then send it to you next day UPS. I dont know whether to feel scared or sorry
