Because the question will inevitably get asked - this model is made in China.
Zojirushi does have a 3-cup counterpart that is made in Japan, the NP-GBC05 which is also on "early Prime sale" for roughly double the price. This Japanese version has an induction heating system, which may justify some of the increased price: https://www.amazon.com/Zojirushi-...00IR8H2ZI/

Something specifically nice about the 3-cup model is you can cook as little as a half-cup of rice at a time. That's about as much as I want to eat for a small meal, and I don't like reheating rice, so that's a plus for me.
The rice cooker has a retractable cable, which is convenient for storage between uses. I've had mine six years and the mechanism still seems solid.
Zojirushi is also quite good about replacement parts. I have a Zojirushi insulated mug that needed a new seal, and you can still buy replacement parts for that mug on their website even though I've had it for 13 years.
The bowl this rice cooker comes with is non-stick, so it may eventually need to be replaced. However, since this is a Zojirushi there are after market stainless steel bowls available, or you can just buy another non-stick one direct from Zojirushi.
I have a Zojirushi boiler as well, so I'm a fan of their products.
I've been using this to cook oatmeal (rolled oats) as well. For that, you use the white rice setting and slightly adjust the amount of water:

Comes out pretty nicely! During the warming phase I stir in a bit of milk.
