4oz = 420 calories, that's crazy unhealthy. 70g of carbs for 16g of protein. who's the target buyer for this junk?

It's for people who were going to eat a big-ass cookie anyway

The peanut butter chocolate chip is a dollar more and 60 more calories per cookie. It's clearly a treat and not a meal replacement, but with these macros they have to be delicious but still give fiber and make you feel full.

And the first protein listed is wheat gluten, which is meaningless for muscle protein synthesis (aka building muscle)

A lot of calories....in a birthday cake cookie?!? Are you serious? OMG, thanks so much. Personally I'm going to sue my doctor for malpractice, he told me to eat a high protein diet to help control my diabetes but of course he didn't tell me not to base my food pyramid around dessert food. You two are doing God's work!

These are super packable and don't melt quite like other cookies.

They are excellent for backpacking, hiking, or mtn biking if you're going to be away from meal preparation/cooking areas for a long time.

If you're worried about the calories then just eat half or a quarter.

As others have mentioned: these are supposed to supplant actual cookies which are even more heinous in the calorie and sugar department.

I know, right? An Oreo cookie has about 50 calories. You can have 2 or 3 without guilt.

Way way too many calories for one cookie. No I'm not eating half a cookie. This is America. It's just not a good cookie. Camping or no camping or whatever.

I've gotten other flavors in the past and usually just eat a piece or two so a single cookie over a few days doesn't seem like a problem. Better than other stuff like a chocolate bar or even worse sweet that I'm craving.
