The machine ran very well. It had a super fast boot time. Games played as good as it can with a 780m. I would recommend buying laptop fan and keep it ontop of it during game play but you don't have to. The machine is also very quiet.
The one good thing about Firebat VS Acemagic is that Firebat does release new bios updates when needed... and acemagic usually never release any bios updates.
For this price, I think it is a buy. I have 32GB of DDR5 5600 RAM but no hard drive.
In addition, yes USB4 would be nice... but beggers can't be choosers. Point is, at this price point... who cares and how much do you think it will effect you?
1. Use RUFUS to create a windows boot usb thumbdrive (eliminates the need to create a Microsoft Account). This is the cleanest way I know how to install an OS. (you will need to download the Wifi and Ethernet drivers from Firebat)
2. Use the Display Port 2.0 to connect your monitor if you are just using one monitor.
And that is it.
When you install a new OS....
as mentioned install the wifi driver, then download the AMD driver detection software and run it. Finally, you may or may not need to install any other drivers... I had to still install the ethernet driver. As mentioned, I purchased this machine about one year ago.
