Does this work on all iPads? Connect wirelessly? I had Pencil Gen 1 - the one with Lighting connector - you had to insert the pencil connector into the iPad to get them to connect. Looks like it will connect to 9th

1.Make sure A8 is compatible with your iPad.
Metapen A8 ONLY works with models below:
iPad 10th, 9th, 8th, 7th, 6th Gen;
iPad Pro 12.9" 6th, 5th, 4th, 3rd Gen;
iPad Pro 11" 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st Gen;
iPad Air 5th, 3rd, 4th Gen;
iPad Mini 6th/5th Gen.
Method: Settings > Tap General > Tap About > Model name [iPad XX (X generation)]
  1. Make sure your iPad's iOS system is iOS 12.2 or above.
  2. Charge A8 for 10 minutes before first use.
  3. Double tap the top of A8 to turn ON/OFF. No need to connect Bluetooth or apps.
  4. A8 will Automatically shut down after 5 minutes of inactivity.
  5. Cannot be used to switch apps. (as the same as Apple pencil)
  6. If your iPad has previously paired with an Apple pencil, unpair before using metapen A8.
  7. If the model is applicable, and the battery is sufficient, but A8 can't write consistently, please try to loosen the pen tip a bit or replace the tip.
  8. It is not recommended to paste a too thick tempered film on the screen, which may cause the pen to become unresponsive.

i have 2 of these, works with 9th and 11th gen, i prefer this over other cheap ones because you have to press twice to turn on

others just once and have died by accidentally pressing them on in my pocket

Thanks. I bought it since the specs said it worked without issue. The one thing this pen does not do - charge wireless once attached (like the Apple pens do). That's fine for me.

Yeah that was a non issue for me that it did not do wireless charging. Plus its a fraction of the cost of the official apple pencil.

Yeah got the pen - spent a few minutes trying to figure out how to pair thinking this was a thing - these pair automatically. Nice pen - especially since my Apple Pen Gen 1 dies and they want ridiculous $ to replace.
