Arc Raiders is a PvPvE extraction game that stands out for its mission-based progression, long playtime, and a new PvE option tied to upcoming updates. The game is described as easy to sink 90 to 200 hours into, with quests, character progression, and a storyline that keeps going without paid DLC. The current update cycle also includes anti-cheat crackdowns and a PvE trial starting on 10 13. The main caveat is that PvP, cheating, and grind can still sour runs, especially in public lobbies where ganks can happen.
Players who want a long PvE-friendly progression loop, because the mission storyline, quests, and upcoming PvE toggle can support dozens of hours.
Players who want a cheap time sink, because $20 can buy roughly 90 to 200 hours of playtime.
Extraction-game newcomers who like being pulled in by progression, because the game can hook players for 200 hours even when they did not usually enjoy the genre.
Quest chasers who enjoy clearing objectives and collecting every item, because the game stays fun when you are working through all quests and hunting down parts.
Players who want a stable PvP experience, because cheating and hacker complaints can make the new-player experience rough and the PC version can feel overrun.
Solo PvE purists who want to avoid player ambushes, because the game still uses public instances where anyone can gank you.
Players expecting a full campaign mode, because the game is described as mission-based rather than having an official campaign.
Players who dislike repetitive grind, because the same maps, rare spawns, and rerolling for parts can make progression feel tedious.

This game was built to just milk investing for the two games they currently making.
Though they are planning on adding a totally pve server option as a test but I'm not sure if that's being added with the big update that's launching next week.

I wish I waited for that and then decide to buy it. But so far, I'm 2 hours and liking the game.
