This DEWALT air mover is aimed at floor drying and concentrated air movement, with a compact style that fits cleanup jobs better than a general room fan. The two outlets for daisy chaining add flexibility, and the design is described as useful enough that it gets pulled out more than expected. It is also compared to the Lasko SF-20-G3 sold at Costco. The main concern is airflow, with the 600 CFM rating called weak for larger drying jobs and less capable than higher CFM or bigger fan setups. A practical pick for targeted drying when outlet sharing matters.

Common Questions (4)

  • This style is better for floor drying and targeted air movement, while a standard box fan can move more air across a wider area. The Costco Lasko version is also reported to push less air than Harbor Freight fans.

  • It is useful for floor drying and general air movement, but 600 CFM is described as modest for bigger drying jobs. For larger areas or heavier drying needs, higher-CFM units around 900/950 or more are reported to move noticeably more air.

  • Yes, this model has two outlets for daisy-chaining, so multiple units can share one outlet. That makes it easier to run more than one fan when you need broader airflow.

  • It is reported to be the same style as the Costco Lasko SF-20-G3. Costco's listed price was $54.97, but it was out of stock for delivery.

How is this compared to the DeWalt 16" Fan at Costco? It's a different style, but wouldn't the one at Costco be better and more versatile? And the specs from Costco seem to be stronger than this one. I need a strong fan to move air away from my house when I have to re-stain my giant dining table that takes 4 people to move it. 600 CFM vs 4,000 CFM (from Costco)
Ones a high volume full room air mover. The other is a highly concentrated blast of air right along the ground or wall.

Since you're not drying something, the volume fan seems more what your after but more handy SDer can chime in.

I would think that a $25 3 speed box fan would be better than this weak blower for a table. A standard 3 speed box fan has way more CFM than this thing. 2 box fans would create a larger area of air flow, one sucking and the other blowing, or both blowing. Just put a filter on the pushing air one so it doesn't move dust onto your table. Any filter would do. The floor blowers are good for floors, but this particular one is weak.

Having multiple box fans lets you set up a wind zone so to speak. Just like the fans on a computer case for proper air flow and cooling. I normally use one with a filter when spray painting stuff in the basement during winter so it sucks up the overspray

I do flooring. I have a few little fans. A few months ago I bought a 600 cfm from vevor. It's crap airflow. Bought their 900 or 950 cfm more recently and it's pretty good. 600 cfm is crap, just fyi.
it could be argued that a 950 cfm vevor is about the equivalent of a 600 cfm DeWalt... 😁

Agreed, I passed on 600 cfm. Not enough airflow to speed up drying of much

same as Lasko at Costco model SF-20-G3
I have never seen the dewalt in person, but just bought the costco lasko models as my washer flooded my house.

the lasko does NOT push as much air as the harbor freight fans which is why they are cheaper and smaller.

Just a few thoughts from someone with three of this style fan. 1.) They are super useful. You will use them more than you expect. 2.) The real ones have stronger airflow and allow you to daisy chain them so you only need one outlet. That feature seems to be missing from these and once you have it, you can't be without it. 3.) One is useful, two is better. Almost all the times you need one, having two or three deals with the problem better.
