I think the ember is a good idea, but it took a long time to get there.

How do you do that? I just went into the Bluetooth settings on my phone and hit connect for mine and I get message "An App is needed to use this device." Normally, takes a few tries, but the App finally connects.
I own the Ember 2 and I really do like it but it's a bit inconvenient. Your not supposed to use metal spoons and when I hand wash it I'm always afraid to get the bottom wet. Sometimes it doesn't connect in the app, but really that doesnt matter cause it's still going to heat to your last set temp or default which is totally fine. It does work good though and keeps your drink hot to the last sip.
