You would hope you'd see any notifications before a thief would rip this device out of the car....

Year 2015: "Tech companies are trying to track us everywhere we go and use that information for targeted advertising, warrantless surveillance, and to manipulate us!"

Year 2025: "We sell this Car Tracker as a plausibly deniable way to track everywhere they go and then resell that information to advertisers and the government and they bought it willingly lol"

Newer vehicles have a worldwide tracker. Cadillac has OnStar; Chrysler/Ram has Uconnect.

Another option is Life360 tiles. I use this in our older minivan.

HUGE amounts of personal data you are paying $40 for Amazon to collect on you and sell to the highest bidder.

Which is why I don't have the Amazon app on my phone... Also phones allow you change privacy features for apps. You can block location. That's not possible with this device.

Nothing an Apple AirTag in a 10-year battery case can't help with, right. I know it's not truly live tracking, but at least it can help pinpoint the car's location. Then again, I drive a Honda, not a $50K car.

Do the police get warrantless access to these like they do to Ring cameras?

But you have to pay for those services and do either actually provide real time tracking (actual tracking) or just post theft tracking, or at best, 'pings?'

Your Amazon app on your phone is also tracking you not to mention pretty much every cookie on your phone is tracking, mining, and sharing location data.
