I feel nostalgic for the days when Costco sold Sceptre monitors (=Smilie. I liked them for their unbeatable price / permormance ratio. Plus, they were quite reliable. I ordered two for my daughter. I hope they still make good monitors.

32" 4k without smart features? I'm very tempted. Idk if I should hold out for Black Friday...

There are no "smart" features or USB-C ports. However, the DisplayPort and HDMI inputs are perfectly adequate for everyday tasks, remote work, and programming. It isn't a gaming monitor, after all. But for $165, you get a 32-inch 4K IPS panel (!). With an inexpensive docking station, you can connect a laptop via a single USB-C cable (for video and charging) and use two monitors connected via DisplayPort. I usually do not care about the monitor speakers which are always junk.

Amazon claims it is a VA panel, what's the deal with that? seems that the Slickdeals post is incorrect, Amazon says "32" VA" and no other options

I have it since 6 months. Love it. Jump and grab it at this price. I paid more at Walmart. No issues at all.
Would have bought it again but ordered 144hz 27in from Samsung and waiting for it. I don't game but do too much scrolling running codes and reviewing documents all day long.
Speakers on it is joke.

Amazon reviews are sketching me out. Multiple people claiming it dies fairly soon (although company seems responsive about replacements), but apparent Q.C issues. Someone claims it's VA not IPS, not that I'd probably know the difference. Does anyone know, if one finds 60FPS gaming acceptable, is this a suitable monitor?

its a monitor, why would it need HDMI 2.1?

If you use it as a TV and not as a monitor.

It appears that Amazon has listed incorrect information regarding the panel type.
The product information \ display section claim it uses IPS technology.
However, I checked the Sceptre website and found that there are two different models:
U325W-UPT (2025) and U325W-UPT2 (late 2026).
https://www.sceptre.com/index.php...25W-UPT%20
The U325W-UPT model features a VA panel.
The U325W-UPT2 model features an IPS panel.

You can compare images of the rear panels of these monitors at the link below:
https://www.sceptre.com/product/s...=U325W-UPT

On the UPT model, the stand mount is square-shaped.
On the UPT2 model, the stand mount is rounded.

Therefore, the unit I received today, which has the square stand mount, definitely does not have an IPS panel.

I will be returning my order.

I apologize for misleading you!

I was going to pull the trigger until I looked at the Amazon listing and saw "frequently returned item" with a 3.9 average review.

U325W‑UPT I just ordered this past week from this deal and is IPS. I am returning simply because it didn't work for my setup but it is a nice display for work and light gaming.

How did you verify that it is indeed IPS?

Ended up ordering. Of note, Took a pdf of the page as the specs say IPS under details but style is VA32.

We will see what happens
