Just moved to MBPros from Windows... are the Apple mouses somehow superior or provide some kind of extra magic to the experience versus the existing Logitech mouse I already have? I don't game or use anything but the basic buttons.

For general ui and and page navigation the Magic Mouse is really good. If you need office functions like cut/paste or other macro, then it serves no purpose.

I think it is mostly an aesthetic thing. If you can, try before you buy. The "scroll wheel" is touch based, so if you consider that magic, then yes. You can't charge and use it at the same time. That really rubs some people the wrong way.
Somehow Apple gets a lot of hate, and I think that's because their products are priced quite high compared to other ecosystems where there is more competition. I bought this mouse a few weeks ago, and I think it is just fine unless you compare it to real ergonomic mice like the MX master or the MX Ergo. If you compare to the regular $10-$20 mice, this is much superior. The touch surface is vastly superior in feel and usability compared to the wheel mechanism. Then there is the issue with the low profile. Sure, a chunky mouse is nice to hold and very comforting. For us humans touch is a stress release, so having a larger contact surface is going to trump anything else the Apple mouse has to offer. On the other hand the low profile Apple mouse makes it easy to carry around. I wouldn't want to pair a chunky mouse with my sleek Macbook Air or my iPad. I used the Logitech Pebble until now, but even that looked out of place in the company of the Macbook/iPad.
Anybody in doubt, just buy one, use for a few days and send it back if you don't like it. Just what I did, but I kept it.

It's mostly the gestures, you get most of what you can do with the track pad but on the mouse. With other mice you usually have to install some 3rd party software to get any decent scrolling in MacOS, which is stupid. I'm using an app called Mos because scrolling sucks with my Logitech MX Master but now it works fine after some tweaking.
