Here's one for $14: https://www.amazon.com/BENFEI-Eth...B0DGFBF96N
And another from a somewhat more well known brand for $18: https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Eth...B0BW2TLQ8S

why so many USB-A ports?

Looks like there are cheaper options out there ($10 7 in 1 competitor https://a.co/d/0g4QRIZn )

USB-A is probably more common than USB-C in the PC space. Tablets and phones love USB-C since a single port can handle power, display, and data. But aside from that, keyboards, mice, headsets, etc. are still commonly sold with USB-A plugs. And existing accessories laying around from the past 2+ decades are USB-A. There is just less of a rush to go to USB-C in the PC space.

Plus, I think USB-A ports are cheaper to implement than USB-C ports. When something like this deal probably costs just a few dollars to make, I'm not surprised if manufacturers are trying to save money.
