Depending on your music source you may want to hold out for the XM7 due out next spring. They are shaping up to be a revolutionary jump in many areas including wider bandwidth and support for lossless audio.

Reviews on High end earbuds are usually bad regardless of brand.
Most of the best earbuds in the market have dissappointing reviews on amazon.
once you go above the $200 price point, people expect a lot from their earbuds, and they never deliver.
they think that their $300 eabuds are gonna sound 10x better than their $30 earbuds, and that just never happens.
as you go up in quality, the price goes up exponentially.
the XM6 currently do have a reputation as among the best in the market, and to some, they are the best (not me).
Even though the title of the best earbuds changes from person to person, the XM6 do get brought up every time that conversation is had for the current generation of premium earbuds, if no the best, they are certainly top 3 or top 5.

I have these + xm5, xm4, az100, Samsung buds pro 4. I usually end up using the az100s mostly but the xm6 do have much better anc similar to the xm4,5. Use them to drown out crying babies on flights mostly. 😅

No. Have a look at the reviews for Apple and Samsung buds, even Bose. Between those they have a lot of the market. These Sony buds have particularly bad reviews. You can't whitewash that fact.
