This AERO X16 reads as a portable creator laptop with strong RAM, a fast 165 Hz display, and enough GPU power for light gaming and 3D work. The 32 GB of memory stands out, and the chassis appears to handle thermals well, with reported GPU temperatures around 69 to 71 C under load. Real world use includes SketchUp, Rhino, Mastercam, SolidWorks, and other modeling apps without issues. The main concerns are the RTX 5070's 8 GB of VRAM, the 85 W power limit, and the IPS panel versus OLED. Battery life has been described as either very good or around three hours, so it looks best for users who value portability and creator performance over top tier gaming.
The laptop can run SketchUp and Rhino for 3D modeling workloads without issues.
The lower-wattage GPU design can help keep thermals under control during gaming sessions.
The 32GB DDR5 configuration can stand out versus other offerings in the same class.
The screen can be acceptable for buyers who want 100% sRGB coverage rather than OLED.
The RTX 5070 8GB configuration can limit AI workloads and may restrict what models can run well.
The RTX 5070 8GB performance can disappoint for gaming due to the 128-bit bus and reduced VRAM bandwidth.
The IPS display choice can be a dealbreaker for buyers who prefer OLED instead.
The 8GB VRAM can be limiting for many titles, with 12GB suggested as a more comfortable minimum.

This is higher than msrp.
Before the war, it was the $1000 benchmark machine.

Runs Sketchup, Rhino, and a whole ton of other apps like 3d modeling. No issues. Great battery life.

Yes the 5070 IS good but please do not justify that 8Gb vram isn't limiting on most titles the minimum I would say is 12. 85W vs the max wattage 5070 is what a 20% difference in performance and this is probably equivalent of a 5060-5050 desktop maybe
IPS is fine but if you had the option to go with OLED or IPS you will never go back to IPS screen screen.
Gigabyte is ranked one of the lowest in terms of customer service but most PC manufacturers are nowadays expect maybe Lenovo
