The Samsung Galaxy S25 USA variant includes specific mmWave and low-band frequencies, such as n71, as well as mmWave bands 257, 258, 260, and 261. The global/international version supports a wider range of Sub-6 GHz bands, including n28 and n78, but generally does not support high-frequency mmWave. T-Mobile: n41 + n71 + n25/n2 + n77, Verizon: n77 + n5/n2/n66 + mmWave, AT&T: n77 + n5/n2/n66
So if the Global S25 you're considering has n28 and n78 but is missing n71/n41/n77, that's a much bigger concern for US use than simply not having mmWave.
A few generations ago, the global version of the Galaxy S series used Samsung's Exynos chipset, while the USA and Japan versions used Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets. Now, both the USA and global versions use the same chipset, so the main differences are the supported network bands and regional configurations.
This refurbished Galaxy S25 Ultra deal stands out for a big flagship upgrade at a relatively low price, especially since the price gap between Good, Very Good, and Excellent is small. The US version is unlocked with one SIM, and the phone keeps the S Pen while dropping microSD support. Battery life and refurb condition are the main concerns, with reports of dead batteries, moisture warnings, and occasional display or hygiene issues. It looks strongest for buyers who want the S25 Ultra hardware and can live with refurb uncertainty.
Samsung power users coming from an older S22 Ultra, because the battery life and overall experience are a major step up.
A new battery is not included, and buyers specifically questioned why an "Excellent" refurb would not have one. Battery concerns are a recurring issue here, including reports of completely dead batteries on arrival and long-term battery wear on Samsung Ultra models.
Unlocked units can work overseas if the local carrier bands match, and a local SIM or roaming can be used. The listing also says it will not work overseas, so international compatibility is not guaranteed by the seller description.
is it better deal than an S26 or Pixel 11 Pro discounted with carriers like Mint/US-Mobile?
If you're comparing Pixels to another brand, you probably should think about owning a Pixel. It's moreso a fan for those who desire certain features like call screen which no other company is near as effective with dealing with spam. Hold for me maybe a bit better on IOS honestly.
Pixels are moreso for die hard fans who desire certain things.

So this may sound like a stupid question to ask, forgive my ignorance. If I take this US version to South America for vacation would it not work at all?
the Global Version, is arguably the absolute best version of the device to take to South America. South American cell phone carriers mainly use the 700 MHz (Band 28), AWS 1700/2100 MHz (Bands 4 and 66), and 850 MHz (Band 5) for 4G LTE, alongside n78 (3.5 GHz) for 5G. Check this site, you can select by country or model# of the device. https://www.frequencycheck.com/co.../countries
Only thing that would be concerning is getting a sub par oled display over the oem one. I bought a refurbished before, when I was using my finger nail to get crap out of a corner the whole corner of the display pulled up and turned black. Lasted maybe a year... My Galaxy S20 ultra (oem) would still be going strong but it's locked to ATT and I switched to Mint, bought an unlocked S26 Ultra (spent more than I like to admit, $1000).

when I had my S22 Ultra screen repaired a year ago the guy told me it would be an aftermarket screen, to which I agreed cause it was a lot cheaper and its an older phone now. What I didnt expect was that not only would it distort the aspect ratio with the screen ending before the curves, but it wasnt even an OLED screen. When you are charging the phone the entire screen lights up like a LCD TV just because of the "fast charging at x% at the bottom" on a blank screen. And when you turn the brightness down, it just turns gray and becomes illegible.

It is the US version. It uses one SIM instead of dual SIM and has fewer system/menu languages than the global model.
No. The S25 Ultra does not include a microSD slot, so storage cannot be expanded with a memory card.
