These are the best. This is what pilots and flight attendants use.

They use this brand (TravelPro) but generally it's one of the higher lines.

This guy get's it. This is a decent deal on a decent bag, but the best ones almost always have double wheels. (this one has single)
e.g. the platinum elite.

I have the 25 and 29, just got one more of each, this is a good deal. Since the 50lbs weight is such a cutoff for flying, it's nice having these really light weight bags, especially the 29" that you can actually fill up and not be over 50lbs.

The other bags I have are also travel pro, the higher tier and really bullet proof, but they are also heavy so weight is a concern. If you were a pilot/flight attendant you'd go for the higher tier, but there also is probably no bag weight concern either.

We have two of these. Super light and work just fine for what we need. Each has been on over 30 plane trips (round trip, so over 60 flights), plus 10-15 car trips.

Tempting, but there is still plenty of life left in the ones we have.

we love this brand but there's been a few recent deals from other brands that include tsa locks and double spinner wheels for much cheaper and similar quality

The International Carry-on 19-Inch has some very desireable features... offset by a couple of awful choices.
  • That wheel design doesn't exactly inspire confidence
  • The expandable front is problematic if you're aiming to use this in a size-limited application.
(Expandable bags can be problematic in conservative luggage sizers; the Travelpro likely dodges this problem by being conservatively sized as noted in some reviews)

    Good luck!

Most airlines have a 22x14x9 limit for carry on size. Both of these 19 and 21" carry on exceeds this limit in one or more dimensions. So neither qualify for the carry on sizing. You might be able to sneak by as many airlines don't check that carefully. But there are some that do.

I bought the 21" a year and a half ago and it have taken it all over the world. I highly recommend it as it is very roomy, wheels work well, and is very well made - I have had to check it in at times, and it has survived without a scratch.

Must be a Manuf coupon, not an Amazon coupon, because they are charging Sales tax on the full dollar amount before coupon.

Also, the international bag is too wide for many advertised domestic US luggage requirements and sometimes won't fit in the pre-boarding bag-fit compartments. I had an international flight to Paris and when I was flying out, I had to fight with the main US carrier who argued it was too wide. But when I was leaving Italy and my flight was originating on the smaller italian airliner, there was no issue.
