I got in for 2 of those early on and my order was canceled and refunded.

Not taking a dump on the deal rather just how sad the current market is - I bought this during COVID 6 years ago for about a hundred bucks more than this, brand new. Ugh.

A pile of meh. If you need it, sure. If you don't, I'd not jump on it.

Can someone tell me why this is a good deal at $288? Doesn't seem remarkable tbh.

I've not had great luck with these. Bought 3 two years ago. Only 2 still work and those two occasionally fail to start and have to have the ram reseated (its happened once or twice for each unit).

I picked up 2 EliteDesk 705 G4 with 8/256 for this price brand new right before the pandemic. I upgraded them to 32GB of RAM each when times were good, but the CPU is long in the tooth. If this used DDR4 I'd be all over it.

I just want a streaming box that does not share every single thing I watch with 3rd parties, so naturally I thought of building of my own streaming box, but now it's proving more difficult with lack of HDMI-CEC or surround sound requiring a better sound card, and other convenience issues and honestly I might just cave in get an Apple TV as much as I hate their restrictions and limits (no browser or USB/SD expansion)

I'm looking for a cheap mini pc that would function as an NVR, do you have recommendation? I don't want to pay premium for it

Now the link says the listing was updated (since I bought one earlier today), but I can't figure out how - or what differs from the listing from earlier today. Anyone else know?

Yea, but then you have to remove HPs bloatware. And heaven help you if you need to reinstall Windows. Maybe it's because I buy Lenovo business models, but they arrive much cleaner and are easier to reformat. From printers to PCs, HP sucks.
