Allstate warranty is a sham.

I had a good experience with Allstate warranty on my Samsung open-box from Walmart. The charging port went bad days before the warranty expired, the camera had debris behind it, and the screen was scratched. Nearly a $500 bill on a $650 phone and Allstate covered it all minus the deductible. It wasn't completely seemless, but it was pretty good.

This said, I don't think I would get it on a PC unless the cost was really good. Most PC components have a bell curve with defects - happen in months 1-6 (within manufacturer warranty period on new PCs) or years 4 onwards (outside the window of extended warranties).

Phones tend to be different since a single screen crack can cause hundreds in damage and happen at any time.

Only thing here that's a sham is your comment. I have used the Allstate warranty multiple times super easy and they always came through.
