Of the TP Link products, I personally wouldn't touch anything but the Omada line. The Omada access points are a fine price, and unlike the TP Link store, Amazon will ship to Alaska and Hawaii. Still, the Amazon price is about 50% more than you'd pay using the Omada trade-up program if they will ship to your location.

Upgraded from Google WiFi "mesh" system to the Deco 7 Pro system with five nodes across a 4000k sq ft, three story house with detached garage. My speed and connectivity stability went through the roof. Same place in the house, same distance from a router/node my wifi speed increased from ~150 MB/s to ~500 MB/s. Four or five of the nodes/routers are hardwired backhaul, with only the detached garage on WiFi/mesh only. Same connection I had with the Google WiFi.
Overall, highly recommended, even without the paywall crap the Deco 7 Pro system is amazing, configurable, and very easy to use. It was a much needed upgrade for a 7-10 year old "mesh" Google WiFi system.

They are if you use them for routing. What they're GREAT for, though, is mesh wifi without routing. Instead, use an old micro PC and OPNSense to build a powerful, robust firewall router with fantastic features and mountains of free add-ons. Then, use a deco kit bridge mode. Use the 2.5Gbps uplink to connect to the router, then the others to run wired back haul to the other deco pods.

Relieved of the routing duties, the deco wifi 7 mesh is fantastic.
