Yeah...and not that you can't do that, but I think deals like this are more for the people who probably already have 2 or 3 (or 6) EGO batteries, 4 chargers, 5 tools, and want to get additional use out of what they already have. If you're starting from scratch, I think there are probably far better, cheaper, and more flexible solutions for large-ish portable batteries to power a few things in an emergency.

The EGO POWER+ PAD5000 is a compact 400W inverter that stands out for turning existing EGO batteries into a quiet backup power source for small electronics. It has run TVs, laptops, dual 32 inch monitors, and a headset for over an hour, and it can charge and discharge over USB C at 100 watts for modern laptops. The 800 watt peak is enough for some fridge use, though startup draw still matters and that makes larger appliances uncertain. The main catch is that the battery and charger are sold separately, so it fits best if you already own EGO gear.

I got this one the last time. It was able to power my laptop and 2 32in monitors and my Jabra headset for over an hour until my meeting ended.

Yeah pretty good this one doesn't go on sale too often. The 400w is more useful than the 100w version

So you still need to buy a rechargeable battery and a charger, don't you? How much are they? The bundle is $245

Check your local FB marketplace listings for a battery. Obviously YMMV but i've been able to source several factory sealed batteries over time. You can use this inverter to charge your battery thru the port labeled in/out.

Hmm. I lose power often enough to have me searching for solution and I own a 10aH Ego battery for my mower. I wonder if the 800w peak would be enough for my refrigerator? Or my gas forced hot water furnace?

After trying to figure out my fridge's startup power draw I just googled the model and found this. I won't be trying it (I knew it wasn't a good idea but it'd be sooo convenient.)
