I have this bag and have been able to use it as a personal item for Frontier. I went on week beach trip with it, and this was my only bag.

Osprey does design refreshes pretty often (sometimes annually). That deal was old stock of the older model.

I believe this one in the OP is the newer model for 2026.

Probably the best under the seat bag for a personal item there is with the clamshell design and expanding capability and trolley sleeve.

I have the Carmel color one that I bought my gf and I liked it so much I bought the exact same color for travel.

It's not something you are going to want to hike around the city with in my opinion due to comfort. I'd probably go for the osprey porter as that can usually be used as an under seat bag and is designed to

Is 30 liters the smallest they offer? At those dimensions, it's a bit bigger than the daylite 26+6
