I purchased this in 2014 for 287 after taxes and it's still in great working condition. 5 of those years I had it sitting in a dark room but when I started wearing it again this year it works like a champ. Great quality and good looking watch.

You got lucky. I have a Citizen Eco-Drive Blue Angels Chronograph that I purchased in 2015 for $313. In 2019 it would no longer keep time after sitting in a drawer for a long period. I had to send it in for the capacitor to be replaced.
This is an excellent watch and I get compliments whenever I wear it. After 10 years the band finally gave up I bought a cheap one from Amazon let's see how long this band lasts, it looks very similar to original I was Not going to spend $80+ on original replacement.
Get this watch, it's well worth it.
I'm wearing this right now. Excellent watch, the pilot calculator is really excellent, and though I got the leather band version I found an aftermarket bracelet that fits it and looks stock (nywatchstore).
Anyone who has an issue with the capacitor should first try a full reset of the watch, as the power reserve indicator can sometimes get stuck, so to speak.
If you do have to replace it the process is incredibly simple and relatively inexpensive.

AI Overview
To perform a full reset (All Reset) on a Citizen Blue Angels watch (such as the H800, U680, or C650 caliber models), follow the standard Eco-Drive procedure to wipe the memory and calibrate the hand positions. [1, 2, 3, 4] Step 1: Execute the All Reset
Pull the crown out to Position 1.
Rotate the crown to set the mode hand or chronograph second hand to [CHR] (Chronograph mode).
Pull the crown out to Position 2 (all the way out).
Press and hold both the upper right button and lower right button at the same time for about 4 seconds, then release them. An alarm or sound will trigger, confirming the reset. [1, 2, 3]
Step 2: Check and Adjust Reference Positions (Zero-Out Hands)
After an All Reset, you must align the hands and date to their 0-position: [1]
Press and hold the upper right button for about 2 seconds until the watch enters reference position adjustment mode (you may see "CHA" or hand movement depending on your specific caliber). [1, 2]
Press and release the upper right button repeatedly to cycle through each hand or dial that needs adjustment (such as the hour, minute, second, 24-hour hand, and date). [1]
Rotate the crown to align each hand or indicator to its proper zero/reference position:
Hour, minute, and second hands: Point straight up to 12:00:00.
Date indicator: Midway between 31 and 1.
Sub-dials / 24-hour hands: Point straight up or to their designated zero marker. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Once all hands are zeroed out, press and hold the upper right button for 2 seconds to save. [1]
Push the crown back in to Position 0. [1]
