Only one set of adhesive pads included so make sure this is where you want to place the cam. Opening your windows could be issue depending on placement. I can set mine on the ledge where the window locks are and it works just as well as this would yet I can move it when I open the window.

Works incredibly well, I have had one on my house for years and years now. Like the other person said, make sure where you mount it is where you want it.

This is a decent mount, only thing for me was my OG camera kept falling out of it because of the temperature fluctuations causing the mount to expand and contract making it loose. I put some tape around the camera to make it thinker and it seems to be working good.

Something very important to note: ONLY the v4 has edge-located AI motion (person/car/pet/package) detection, meaning, it does the interpretation locally with its own CPU. Prior cam versions have to send ALL motion video back to Wyze's cloud to interpret it. This means v1 thru v3 have huge bandwidth requirements. My Wyze Cam OG has daily data consumption comparable to my PC (gaming / torrent).

I assume this only works for use cases where the camera front is parallel to the glass, not tilted down, up or to the side.

Thanks, Alexa offered that up. Works only with Window Cam and fixed angle, though.

Weird -- I've got some v1, v2 and v3 cameras running, and I just checked my bandwidth charts -- the very busiest one is a v3 and is averaging 80 bytes/second in and 2400 bytes/second out. (Note that I said bytes, not KB, MB or GB.)

So that works out to 7 MB/day in, 200 MB/day out -- more than I would have guessed, but still tiny.

(And the others are averaging a lot less. It's also curious that the busy one is busiest by far at night -- I think that's because it's getting shadows through the trees from a street light, causing lots of motion.)

And yet I do have motion detection on all the cameras. But they don't have *human* detection, which is something that they promise with a cloud subscription.

I don't have a cloud subscription -- so that's probably the difference right there. But the motion detection they do have internally does work fine.

Non subscriptions have a 5 minute cooldown between any motion detection.
