Edit: The phone I purchased from this listing could not receive updates. Not through the device settings menu or through Samsung Smart Switch. I am having to ship it back for updates. Phone updates are typically delivered through the carrier not through Samsung when using a carrier model phone. If this was a factory unlocked phone, updates would be delivered though Samsung. IDK, maybe the phone I got was just flawed in some way.
Community Reviews
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is being discussed as a premium unlocked Android phone, with the main draw being Samsung flagship hardware and the chance to stack a Prime Visa discount or a post purchase price adjustment. The deal also looks more attractive if you can catch a price drop quickly, since the seller has adjusted orders after purchase. The main cautions are that the listed 10 percent card offer may be targeted or disappear at checkout, and the phone may be a carrier model rather than factory unlocked, which could affect software updates. At this price, it feels best suited to shoppers who want the Ultra experience and can verify the unlock and promotion details.
The listing page can show an additional 10% back offer when paying with an Amazon Prime Visa card.
A price drop after purchase can be handled through a quick price adjustment if you contact the seller fast enough.
Battery longevity can be a non-issue for some Galaxy owners, based on long-term experience with an older Galaxy S10 5G.
A trade-in can substantially reduce the effective cost when upgrading to a newer Ultra model.
The Amazon Visa Prime promotion can disappear at checkout after adding the item to the cart.
The phones in this listing may behave like carrier models rather than true factory-unlocked devices, which can affect update delivery.
Limited software support can create security concerns for banking and other sensitive apps over time.
Resale sourcing can reduce trust if prior orders arrived as the wrong item condition or type.

Have an S23 Ultra, 2 S22 Ultras, and a S22 FE on my account. Know the 22s are reaching the end of their update cycle so that is part of the reason looking at new phones. Saw some humble bragging in this thread about "well, look at how old my phone is and it runs just fine!", but sorry for wanting a secure device I guess? I had some of those old Galaxys too and got upgrades for pennies on the dollar.
I will wait to see what S26U deals there are this BF. Saw some people discussing S27 which is not that far off either, but I just worry that is going to come with another huge MSRP jump.
