The Galaxy S26 Ultra is being discussed as a premium unlocked Android phone, with the main draw being Samsung flagship hardware and the chance to stack a Prime Visa discount or a post purchase price adjustment. The deal also looks more attractive if you can catch a price drop quickly, since the seller has adjusted orders after purchase. The main cautions are that the listed 10 percent card offer may be targeted or disappear at checkout, and the phone may be a carrier model rather than factory unlocked, which could affect software updates. At this price, it feels best suited to shoppers who want the Ultra experience and can verify the unlock and promotion details.

You could just get the battery replaced
This. I did this earlier this year for my S23 ultra, and it's awesome n lasts the whole day again. Will probably wait another year, as it's doing everything I want. Might consider the Fold Ultra if they add pen support back.

S27 is coming soon, with a lot of upgrades: battery, chipset, and a Pro model. Finally, these greedy companies decide to increase the battery a little bit. Xiaomi and OnePlus are already offering a big battery, but anyway, we are lucky here. A lot of companies are not allowed in the USA

Dude I'm still using the galaxy s10 5g. The 1st 5g galaxy. Aging battery life in your 3 year old phone? Lmfao youll be fine. Going on 8 years on my s10 and the battery is holding up just fine.
The biggest sized S10? I had that phone new from Samsung. Some great deal back then. Ran GCam on it so battery wasn't the best

Was looking at this deal and managed to find and order an Amazon Resale Very Good 512GB for $850, but I'm not sure if I should keep it. Currently have S23 Ultra, so not the biggest jump but battery is aging...
I also have the S23 ultra and it's still doing great, despite regular daily use. I need something revolutionary in my next Samsung phone and I don't think the S26u is worth the upgrade. Gonna wait another year.

How do you do this? That was the thing that really passed me off about android and Samsung, getting rid of of replaceble battery and sd card slot, two things Android always had over apple.

How do you guys deal with the lack of software support at that stage. Very scary unless you don't use your banking apps or similar. Nowadays I just do 99% of things on my phone so can't see how you guys do it. Nonetheless, it is very impressive how you resist the trend
Can you link me a case of a banking app being hacked due to out of date? I used my lg v60 for years past it's "end of life" with no issues.

My S2 battery did not make it 6 months before swelling and lasting under 5 min. Maybe they fixed things since but it seems you are just lucky. I went flip phone -> Nextel -> Palm Phone -> BlackBerry -> HTC Microsoft Windows Mobile -> Samsung -> Apple -> HTC Android -> Nexus/Pixel

They are an authorized Samsung repair shop if you have one in your area.

Right under the price, it says "Earn 10% back on this item when you pay with your Prime Visa". Maybe it's a targeted offer. 🤷
10% back is not 10% off

Hot take: it's not always the battery that's dying on these new phones

My buddy bought an S24 Ultra on launch day. Got an update about 6 months ago and his SoT (screen on time) went from ~10 hrs to ~5. Literally cut in half. That's insane

We all know Apple got caught doing this with the iPhone 6 (batterygate). Idk, I'm starting to think they're all pulling the same crap and just hoping nobody notices

Anyone else's battery tank right after an update?
