Best water pump pliers. Actually got to use it on a spigot a while back. It worked great. It also does a lot of other pliers stuff but it felt good using them for their namesake lol.
Deal is good, not great. They're 35-50 bucks individually. They're worth the hype. They are tuffff.

Unless youre using this as a professional/plumber, no need to buy set of 3. Just get the 7inch one as a homeowner and youre good for life

This seems to be the only premium product on Slickdeals that doesn't have people crapping on the price. That makes me want to get it even though I already have 50 pliers.

Their patent expired last year and then lots of copycats on AliExpress. Bot 2 for less than 10 bucks and work very well.

Part of it probably isn't the mechanical movement but the material used and the closed jaw tolerance.

knipex uses forged chrome vanadium steel, which is very cheap stuff. 95% of their product price goes to patent cost.

I've never been disappointed in a Wera tool. As a guy I worked with once said, "there are make-money tools and cost-money tools, and they get priced that way."

by that theory, test results shouldn't have suggested otherwise: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjDG4gaiRp8
