I paid full price and enjoyed my time with this game. The environment gets a little stale, but luckily the active time battle system feels fun and the large roster of Pokemon that you capture keep things feeling fresh and exciting, especially with a lot of new Mega Evolutions to be unlocked. It's a good 50-60 hour adventure and it's currently the only way to get Floette-Eternal for Pokemon Champions (if you're into competitive play).

Is it just a regular switch cartridge with the free upgrade code?

Wasn't this only Switch 1? Did they get it to work for the Switch 2 version?

yeah I got the Switch 2 version through Walmart with no issues. Sounds like it's backward compatible.
