Costco has a sale on 3m packaging tape right now. I think it's the best tape, but I go through a like 6 or 7 rolls a month so I stick to the cheap kind on amazon.

I concur. In fact, there's a BIG gotcha when you stock-up with cheap tape: Its' shelf-life is significantly less than thicker tape. I had 6 rolls of cheap stuff I had to toss because it was fused together - would not unroll without breaking. THAT's not saving!
